The Lithuanian Wind Power Association unites Lithuanian wind energy market participants, i.e. wind energy investors, facility producers and service providers. Currently, the Association consolidates more than 90 percent of national wind energy investors.
The Lithuanian Wind Power Association is attempting to assure the most favourable conditions for the development of wind energy projects, including fair legislation and an attractive business environment. One of the major objectives of the Association is to seek the decentralization of the national energy market, to achieve energy independence through the development of wind energy and to pursue the implementation of the EU's renewable energy policy.
Lithuanian Wind Power Association's activities:
The Lithuanian Wind Power Association is a member of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists, the Lithuanian Electricity Association and the Association "Baltijos slenis" which operates in the field of the information society, science, research, education, technology, and social and cultural development. The Association is also a member of a two international organizations, namely the European Wind Energy Association and the Global Wind Energy Council.
Currently the Lithuanian Wind Power Association embodies 18 members and the expansion of the Association is projected in the near future.
The Association has been pursuing it's activity since 2005.
